How to do oil pulling?

Step 1 : Prepare the oil – Pick the oil that you would like to use and take two table spoons of it. If it has solidified, heating it slightly so that it is warm might be of help. Step 2 : Put the oil in your mouth – Two teaspoons is recommended amount of oil that is to be used for oil pulling. Therefore, using a spoon or a tiny glass or cup, put the oil into your mouth. Lately, some oil chews are available which can also be used for the purpose.
Step 3 : Swish it for 15 to 20 minutes – You should now start swishing this oil in your mouth. As you keep swishing, the oil blends with saliva and becomes foamy and white in colour. Step 4 : Spit the oil– Once you are done, i.e., after 15 minutes, you should spit this out completely so that none of it remains in your mouth. It is said that some of the oils clog up the pipes by hardening, so spitting it into a trash is advisable in comparison with spitting it into the sink.
Step 5 : Rinse your mouth with warm water – After you are done with the routine, you should rinse your mouth to remove any remnants of the oil. You can use warm water for the purpose so that it cleanses better. Adding a pinch of salt to the water you use to rinse is also a good idea as it can be effective in cleaning.
Step 6 : Brush your teeth – You should brush your teeth after this. Since most people prefer to do the oil pulling routine right after they wake up, it is advisable to do it before you brush your teeth in the morning.
